Mr. Miller's Apollo harp was made by the Salvi harp company in Piasco, Italy, in 1999. The Apollo has the largest soundboard ever made, giving it, as world renowned harpist Catrin Finch stated, a "huge, mellow sound." It is a stunningly beautiful instrument that provides a centerpiece to any event.

Mr. Miller's Lyon and Healy Style 15 semi-grand harp was built at the end of World War II in 1947. It was originally sent to New York, then found its way to Santa Fe, New Mexico, where it remained more for decoration than music. Mr. Miller had the instrument flown to Alabama.

Mr. Miller Sr. constructed Steven Todd's first harp from a kit in 1978. His first performance with it was a production of Shakespeare's "Much Ado About Nothing," where he composed and sang two ballads in the play. The music playing on this page is an original recording from the show, using this harp.

Thanks, Dad!
